Greenore (Irish: An Grianphort) is situated on the southern shores of Carlingford Lough. It offers spectacular views of the Mourne Mountains from the shore promenade. It is also a deep sea port for large vessels.

Greenore was built in 1873 specifically for the workers on the railway and although the railway is now long gone, the village retains a character and uniqueness that you will not find anywhere else in Ireland.

Greenore has a wonderful 18 hole golf course. It is popular for shore fishing venue, and houses a railway museum which is well worth a visit.
