Cranfield close to Kilkeel offers a gently sloping mainly sandy beach located at the entrance to Carlingford Lough, an area designated as being of Special Scientific interest.
The beach has been awarded a blue flag rating. . Its long, south facing, sun-warmed beach looks out towards the Haulbowline Lighthouse built from hewn blocks of Mourne Granite.
Cranfield offers a choice in Caravans, self-catering chalets and camping, all serviced with excellent facilities. Facilities include parking, children’s play area, toilets and showers. Lifeguard supervision July-Aug daily 11 am-6 pm and Sept w/ends only.
